Surrounded by water and large cypress trees, draped in Spanish moss, I live on forty acres. Within this area, I have pastures of cattle and horses. What a wonderful place to raise Teddy Roosevelt Terriers. I've gone to great lengths to pick out my foundation dogs. I have strived to initiate a breeding program to produce outstanding dogs with good conformation, great attitudes, and qualities that will improve this breed. I feel that Reesie's and Cisco's bloodlines will produce dogs for the show ring, dogs for hunting , or all around pets for people of all ages.
Cisco, from the "Dances With Wolves" litter, produced by the breeding of Brooks Reesie and Archie from Caney Lake Kennels is a Champion. Many of his brothers and sisters are champions and even grand champions. One brother became the number 1 TRT in 2010. Now the next generation is becoming champions. Mary Ann May and Mike Staples have proven themselves with this breeding.
Reesie, came from Dana's Rug Rats in Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Champion TDK'S Real McCoy owned by Cheryl Wimberly. Reesie is our family pet and gets so excited when the grandchildren come to visit. Even though she has never been in the show ring, I feel that she has the potential to be a champion. Ressie will make a wonderful mother.
Although I have always had rat terriers , once the TRTs were introduced to me, it was instant love. I had to have one and now I have four. I've been involved with the Teddies for two years and looking forward to my first litter.
